The Surepoint Group is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment for the benefit of its employees, contractors, management, clients, the general public and the environment.

Management believes that accidents can be prevented by establishing and maintaining safe work practices through a combination of training, policies and procedures, and with the commitment of our personnel.

Our objective is to protect our employees, contractors, clients and the public from injuries, and the environment and property from damage. Our goal is an injury and accident-free workplace.

To achieve this goal, we will maintain a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program conforming to industry standards as well as to applicable health, safety and environmental laws and regulations. This program includes:

  • Training all employees and contractors in safe work practices.
  • Providing the necessary resources to support the HSE program.
  • Conducting health and safety meetings.
  • Conducting a program of health and safety inspections.
  • Hazard identification and risk control.
  • Incident/Accident investigations and reporting.
  • Assigning responsibility and accountability to all managers, contractors and employees for safety performance.
  • Implementing a preventative maintenance program.

It is the responsibility of supervisors and managers to provide leadership of the HSE program for supporting its policies, practices and procedures. This is accomplished through monitoring the program, enforcing company policies, and responding promptly when the safety of workers or the public is at risk.

It is the responsibility of employees and contractors to take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of themselves, coworkers, clients, the public and the environment. This includes: becoming familiar with and adhering to applicable contents of the HSE handbook; taking adequate precautions to perform work safely; following safe operating procedures; and identifying and reporting hazards, first aids, near misses, and incidents.

A key component of our HSE program is the Health, Safety and Environment Manual, which documents the HSE policies, responsibilities, and procedures.
