Training

To address the industry shortage of skilled personnel, IEM is spearheading an initiative to provide a structured introductory training program for the upstream oil and gas industry to actively recruit new workers from various community groups (youth, aboriginal, rural).  With the co-operation and assistance of: the Surepoint Group of companies, industry, community and government bodies, we are starting a comprehensive 12 week practical training course that will benefit:

  • new workers, by providing them with an overview of the industry and basic competencies in upstream oil and gas,
  • the industry, by supplying workers who have safety training and basic competencies on which to build long-term careers and,
  • the community, by providing solid career path training for its members.

These efforts reflect Independent Energy Management's and the Surepoint Group's dedication to excellence and community involvement.
